The final race on day 3 on the Knavesmire is this excellent looking Anniversary Handicap Stakes race, it is one of the sprint 5 furlong races meaning it is sure to be an exciting cavalry charge. The draw could well be worth keeping an eye on as the track bias can often influence the results in these short sprint races. This race is only opened to three year-old horses and will be a key race at the 2011 York Ebor Festival.
This looks a difficult race for punters with any number of runners in with a chance according to the bookmakers but one that could run well in the last is Itlaaq who goes for local trainer Michael Easterby after a good win last time.
